Dr. Debbye Turner Bell is a veterinarian, journalist, corporate trainer, minister, and motivational speaker. The former Miss America (1990) published her first book, “Courageous Faith: A Lifelong Pursuit of Faith Over Fear,” in 2021. Her consulting firm provides leadership development training in communications, influence, and diversity to corporate and business leaders. From 2013-2016, Turner Bell was the lead U.S. news anchor for Arise News, a global cable news network. Previously, she served 11 years as a staff correspondent for CBS News and was dubbed “The Early Show” resident veterinarian Currently, she is an expert contributor to “DOGS 101” on Animal Planet. Dr. Turner Bell has served on the boards of the National Council on Youth Leadership, Children's Miracle Network, Missouri Division of Youth Services, and the National Advisory Child Health and Human Development Council.
