Courtney-Thornton
Courtney C. Thornton, Esquire, is the Vice President of Partner Relations & Business Diversity for the Hudson Group. She is responsible for managing diversity and business partner relationships across the country for the largest duty-paid travel retailer in North America. Prior to joining Hudson, she served as In House Legal Counsel and Deputy Director of Legal Affairs to the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport for sixteen years.
She previously served as Special Counsel to the law firm of Adams and Reese, L.L.P. specializing in Governmental Relations. Earlier in her career, Thornton defended insurance claims at the law firm Chopin, Wagar, Cole, Richard, Reboul & Kutcher and completed a two year Judicial Clerkship in Civil District Court.
Thornton’s professional affiliations include the Louisiana State Bar Association, Airports Council International, American Association of Airport Executives, and Airport Minority Advisory Council, where she recently served as the 2015 National Conference Chair in Fort Lauderdale.
A graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Thornton also holds a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law. She is a graduate of the New Orleans Regional Leadership Council and a member of The Links Incorporated, New Orleans Chapter.
