Christy Hunt is the go-to expert on personal finances and a motivational speaker.
Hunt lived through the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and knows first-hand how a life event can alter one’s life forever. As she worked with her family to rebuild, it became clear to her that financial education, planning, and execution are critical components to a healthy future. This experience was the seed that started Hunt Financial Fitness and launched her career as a Financial Wellness Coach.
Hunt’s career began when she joined SunTrust Bank in 2005 as a Financial Services Representative and later as a Senior Workplace Banker and Mortgage Loan Officer at PNC Bank.
Hunt found herself in a coaching role, helping others understand finances and how to find realistic solutions to financial challenges. She stepped out on faith and started Hunt Financial Fitness in 2016 to help others help themselves.
As a Virginia Housing Development Authority Qualified Trainer, Hunt works with individuals in all income brackets to create customized financial plans designed to reach specific life goals.
Hunt gives back to the community through board service and participating in the Norfolk Education Foundation and the Urban League of South Hampton Roads Young Professionals, among other groups and organizations.
