Carmen James Randolph
President & CEO/Women’s Foundation of the South

Over a 26-year career, Carmen James Randolph has galvanized funders, donors, policymakers, and grassroots activists to transform lives, systems, and communities. In 2021, she founded WFS, a public foundation that drives philanthropic resources to women of color-led organizations that lack access to capital. To date, Carmen has raised more than $6M and provided $1M in grants and programming to 95 women-led nonprofits in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Georgia. Carmen launched her career at the Humanities Council of  Washington D.C. Most recently, she served as vice president for programs at the Greater New Orleans Foundation, where she transformed programs for workforce development, environment, economic security, and disaster grantmaking,
