Barton J. Taylor
Strategic Operations & Budget Expert; NULYP President (2009-2011)

Consultant Barton J. Taylor has over 20 years of strategy and operations experience, building DEI cultures within nonprofits, local school districts, government agencies, and higher education. He is also a professor of political science at Georgia State University-Perimeter College. Previously, Barton was chief of staff for technology and digital experiences at Teach For America, a leading nonprofit dedicated to confronting educational inequity. He also led and managed operations for Chicago public schools’ IT services, the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, and the Office of Congressman John Lewis. Barton served as a trustee for the National Urban League, president of the National Urban League Young Professionals, and is a founding board member of the Ezekiel Taylor Scholarship Foundation.
