Community & Family Day Expo

Community Day brings the energy, culture, and opportunity of Nashville together in one vibrant, family-friendly experience. Each year, the National Urban League, as part of its annual conference and Expo, dedicates Community Day to our host city, and in 2026, the focus is on Nashville's youth —celebrating their creativity, commitment to service, and capacity to lead.

Collaborating with local schools, youth organizations, family service partners, and corporate allies, the event will feature a large-scale backpack and school-supply giveaway with products from leading local businesses.

Attendees will also enjoy fitness and wellness sessions, grooming and beauty demos, financial literacy pop-ups, and youth-focused empowerment activities. Community Day celebrates the best of Nashville by investing in its families and future leaders.

African American Women in Cinema proudly presents The Politics of Black Women in Film, a powerful and timely conversation celebrating the voices, creativity, and leadership of Black women in the film industry. This engaging panel brings together acclaimed filmmakers, directors, producers, and industry leaders whose work is shaping the future of global cinema. Through candid discussion and personal insights, panelists will explore the artistic, cultural, and social impact of Black women’s representation on screen and behind the camera.
