Community & Family Day Expo

Community Day brings the energy, culture, and opportunity of Nashville together in one vibrant, family-friendly experience. Each year, the National Urban League, as part of its annual conference and Expo, dedicates Community Day to our host city, and in 2026, the focus is on Nashville's youth —celebrating their creativity, commitment to service, and capacity to lead.

Collaborating with local schools, youth organizations, family service partners, and corporate allies, the event will feature a large-scale backpack and school-supply giveaway with products from leading local businesses.

Attendees will also enjoy fitness and wellness sessions, grooming and beauty demos, financial literacy pop-ups, and youth-focused empowerment activities. Community Day celebrates the best of Nashville by investing in its families and future leaders.

Freedom March is a documentary film tthat ells the story of the three founders of The Freedom Day Foundation, a small grass roots organization that fights for racial and social equality. The documentary opens on the day of the foundation’s second march on July 4th, Blackout March, and follows the organizers, Morgan(27), Clayton(29), and Malik(23) through the commencement of the march. The film continues with the founders reminiscing on the importance of their first march, Freedom Day March, and concludes with their most recent march, Sing Along March, as we explore thier lives of the founders. The bond between the three founders will set the stage for understanding the passion and drive required to create an impactful march and form a foundation.
