Plenary II: Demanding Diversity -- Meet the Legal Minds Standing Firm Behind Racial Equity
Day 5, Friday, July 18

The rollback of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies in both the public and private sectors has undermined decades of progress, but legal warriors in the corporate arena and in state government are holding the line—defying political attacks and reaffirming their commitment to racial equity and opportunity. This plenary tackles the issues on two fronts. First, corporate General Counsels discuss their continued commitment to DEI and the fight to uphold workplace diversity amidst mounting legal challenges. Next, State Attorneys General will explore the broader legal battles at the state level, and the role of government leadership and the voter participating in countering attacks on diversity initiatives.
Presiding: Marc H. Morial, President & CEO, National Urban League
