Ramon Looby
Ramon Looby is Senior Vice President, and Public Policy Lead at the Bank of America (NYSE: BAC). In his capacity at the Fortune 50 firm, he is responsible for managing the company's public policy strategy, and its implementation on a regional basis. He serves as a trusted advisor to senior management and market executives. In addition, he undertakes efforts to identify and address legislative and reputational risks, as well as opportunities for the firm.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Ramon spent several years managing a diverse portfolio of policy issues for the Consumer Data Industry Association. Earlier in his career, he served as a Special Advisor to the United States Chamber of Commerce – focusing his efforts primarily on international affairs and trade policy. Prior to his time at the Chamber, he served as an in-house government affairs representative for car-part conglomerate, LKQ Corporation, and also served as a Public Information & Education Officer with the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department.
In March 2018, Mr. Looby was elected to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF) Council of Corporate Advisors (CAC) - the CAC advises the CBCF’s Board of Directors on policy, special initiatives, and leadership development.
In addition to his service on the CAC, Mr. Looby serves on a number of boards of directors, including, the Maryland Bankers Association, the National Safe Place Network, the Five Star Scholarship Foundation, and the University Of Florida Alumni Association Of Greater Washington.
In 2016, Ramon was recognized by the University of Florida’s Association of Black Alumni for his professional and civic achievements, and was a recipient of the group’s “40 under 40” award. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and daughter.
