Marilyn Ford is engaged in a wide ranging list of activities promoting civil rights activism and diversity, equity and inclusion. She is on the board of directors of the SCLC and is the Neil Cogan Public Service Professor of Law at Quinnipiac University Law School (Quinnipiac) where teaches courses in civil rights, securities regulation, business organizations, corporate finance, and Native American law. Her areas of research include civil rights, Native American land claim issues, and corporate law. At Quinnipiac, she is adviser to the Black Law Student Association and the Latin American Law Student Association. She is also Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She serves on the board of several non profit organizations that promote education and equal justice under law. Prior to joining Quinnipiac, Prof. Ford practiced law at a Wall Street law firm, a civil rights agency, and an energy company.
