Jeri Green
Jeri Green is a consultant to the National Urban League serving as its Senior Advisor for the 2020 Census. In this role, Jeri spearheads the National Urban League’s work on 2020 Census issues and initiatives, including a recent 2020 Census Solutions workshop in Providence, Rhode Island, and the establishment of the National Urban League’s 2020 Census Black Roundtable.
A native of Washington, D.C., Jeri has more than 30 years experience as a civic engagement professional. She has held positions with national organizations, and served in leadership positions for both local and federal governments. Jeri recently served as Senior Advisor for Civic Engagement, Office of the Director, U.S. Census Bureau, where she engaged civil rights organizations and diverse national leaders on critical Census issues.
In her former position with the U.S. Census Bureau, Jeri educated national stakeholders on the benefits of Census participation and engaged Hard-to-Count (HTC), communities to ascertain their unique challenges and obstacles to obtaining an accurate count.
Jeri resides in the District of Columbia, holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and a master’s degree from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
