Speaker Bio
Eric M. Goodie, Director of Asset Acquisition and Management for the Houston Area Urban League, has over 20 years of community engagement, program and fund development experience. He is a certified NCCER Master Trainer facilitating Core Construction training/preparation to clients with emphasis on creating career pathways in the Construction, Maritime, Supply Chain/Logistics, Petrochem and Transportation sectors. Under his leadership, the Urban League has garnered contracts with Texas Workforce Commission, TX Department of Transportation, METRO Houston Rapid Transit Light Rail, H-GAC/Workforce Board, City of Houston and United Way.
Mr. Goodie’s career in corporate service includes American General Insurance, Centeq Equities (now Camden Properties), Century Development Corp., and Shearson Lehman Brothers. Eric attended the University of Houston, Prairie View A&M University and has completed coursework at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
When he is not involved in the community, Eric spends quality time with his wife Venora of 27 years and two children.
