Speaker Bio
Derek D. Ross is an experienced brand strategist and communications expert who has spearheaded communications strategies for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s men’s and women’s basketball tournaments and football championship, the National Battle of the Bands, the Orange Blossom Football Classic, and consultancy projects for the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Ross was honored as a Black Enterprise Modern Man of Distinction in 2017 and has been a featured speaker at the Black Enterprise Entrepreneur Summit, the Build Your Own Brand Conference, and Black Sports Business Symposium, among other industry events. Ross chairs the board of directors of WeINSPIRE, a non profit dedicated to highlighting achievements of millennials of color.
