Caron Washington
Director, Entrepreneurship & Business Development/National Urban League

As director, Caron M. Washington assists with the general oversight and support to 12 affiliates that operate Entrepreneurship Centers (ECs) across the country. The Entrepreneurship Center Program – a NUL signature program – provides management counseling, mentoring and training services geared toward the development of management skills. This effort helps minority entrepreneurs to obtain financing and contracts that support job and wealth creation.

Before NUL, Washington worked in retail banking for nine years, developing investment portfolios for banking institutions and providing a spectrum of financial solutions for personal and business customers.

Washington is deeply committed to community service. He is an active member of the Queens Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., treasurer of the NUL Federal Credit Union, and the past president of the Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals.

Washington is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BS in exercise physiology and a minor in psychology. He also holds an MA in urban affairs from Queens College.
