Ciji Townsend is a blogger, motivational speaker, and the driving force behind Balanced Not Busy, which she describes as a path toward “better time management, prioritizing passions and protecting your energy.” Ciji is dedicated to sharing her experiences, insights and expertise to help everyone live a balanced, not busy, life.
For years, Ciji’s own over-programmed calendar threatened to overwhelm her life, until she arrived at an epiphany: She no longer wanted to be “too busy” and committed to a balanced life. Balanced, yes, but even more productive. Ciji pursued her professional and life passions in full. Ciji has worked as an account manager for Dyalect Marketing, marketing manager for Red Bull North America, and currently as a corporate public relations professional at Cox Communications.
Outside of her 9-5, she works 5-9 and sometimes even later to serve her Atlanta community. She is president emeritus of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and is a member of the LEAD Atlanta 2013 class, and a New Leaders Council Louisiana 2015 Fellow. She is a recent graduate of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2018 and a member of the Junior League of Atlanta.
Today, Ciji is balanced, not busy, and encourages her audience to live intentional life, without sacrificing joy to the glorification of “busyness.”
