Cleveland Spears III is a native New Orleanian with more than 25 years of professional experience in public relations and event production. In 2008, he founded Spears Consulting Group (later rebranded as Spears Group), a New Orleans-based full service marketing, public relations and event production firm that has worked with the National Urban League, ESSENCE Music Festival, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and French Quarter Festival, among others. Cleveland was named the Agency Executive of the Year at the 2015 American Advertising Awards and was the recipient of the Urban League’s 2010 Rising Star Award. Active in the community, Cleveland is a member of several volunteer boards including New Orleans City Park, Liberty’s Kitchen, the New Orleans Jazz Institute, and Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation.
