Cedric Rockamore
Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President of Global People Operations/American Airlines

Cedric Rockamore is Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) and Vice President of Global People Operations. As CDO, Cedric spearheads our efforts to make diversity, equity, and inclusion part of the fabric of everything we do at American. Thanks to his leadership, we have made impressive strides, including instituting implicit bias training, our Community Council, and our 2022 DEI goals and programs such as SOAR (Select, Onboard, Advance & Retain talent).

In his role as Vice President of Global People Operations, Cedric leads groups that support American’s team members, including Team Member Services and Team Member Travel. In addition, he has responsibility for absence management, policy, alcohol and drug screening and culture and climate.

Cedric joined the airline in 2010 and has held several leadership roles at American, including Vice President of DFW Operations, Vice President of PHL Operations, and Managing Director of DCA airports. Before joining American, Cedric led ramp operations at Memphis International Airport for Delta Air Lines. Prior to that, he led day-to-day operations for Atlantic Southeast Airlines at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He also worked for Northwest Airlines as Director of Customer Service in Memphis and as General Manager at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Cedric earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He proudly served 10 years in the U.S. Navy.
