Chanty Bradley Brown
Dr. Chanty Clay began her career with Wells Fargo in May 2008 and is currently an HR Partner Leader in the Community Bank. Chanty’s previous positions include HR Manager at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Training/Organizational Development Manager at Edward Jones.
Chanty proudly served 10 years in the United States Air Force. While active duty, Chanty completed the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) and continues to contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives in every role she has held in her 20+ years in human resources. She was instrumental in establishing the Wells Fargo Advisors’ Veterans Team Member Network - St. Louis chapter where she was the President for several years and witnessed the group’s growth to 300+ members.
Chanty holds a B.S. degree in Workforce Education, Training and Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale; M.S. degree in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University; and, a Ph.D. in Workforce Education, Training and Development with a concentration in Professional Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Not surprisingly, Chanty’s dissertation topic was specific to women veterans, and the identification, marketability, and utilization of their military learned interpersonal (soft) skills in corporate America for post-military career success.
Chanty is an active member of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), and the co-lead Vice President of Programs and Professional Development for the NAAAHR St. Louis Chapter where the group was awarded the 2016 Trailblazer Award. She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) and is a graduate of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative (SLBDI).
Chanty mentors several employees to include women veterans and provides coaching, consulting, and support in the development and enhancement of their post-military career. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Darryl Clay and with her immediate and extended family. She also volunteers and supports many local veteran events.
