Christina Cheeks honed her leadership and management skills as an international sales and marketing leader at UPS. With over 10 years of progressive experience managing supply chains of global customers, she successfully advanced in her career and held several positions within the Business Development function.
Eventually, Christina decided to align her expertise to her passion for community service. She is an alumnus of the National Urban Fellows’ Academic & Leadership Development Fellowship Program (NUF) at Baruch College, where she obtained her master's degree in public administration, with honors. This experience provided Christina with the additional leadership and management skills needed to meet community needs with policy solutions.
Christina hails from a family of Howard University graduates and would earn her bachelor’s degree in business marketing, with honors, from the historically black institution. In keeping with Howard – and family – tradition, she contributed her time to non-profits that provide workforce development, safe havens for survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse, and meals to the homeless. Her goal is to continue positively impacting her community while leading a committed effort of advancing public interest and social change.
Currently, Christina is the business development strategist at Eskenazi Health, a safety net hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also a member of The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League, where she serves as co-chair of membership.
