Caron-Washington
Caron M. Washington is Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Development for the National Urban League (NUL). He provides technical assistance to 13 affiliates that operate Entrepreneurship Centers (ECs) across the country. The Entrepreneurship Center Program –a Signature Program of NUL – provide management counseling, mentoring and training services geared toward the development of management skills enabling minority entrepreneurs to obtain financing and/or contracts that support job creation and preservation.
Prior to NUL, Washington worked for Chase Bank and TD Bank, where he was the Senior Financial Service Representative responsible for the development of the investment and retirement portfolio and providing various financial solutions for personal and business customers.
Washington has a deep commitment to service and community. He serves as the Polemarch (President) of the Queens Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and is a member of the 100 Black Men of Long Island. He previously served as President of the Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals.
In 2014, Washington was inducted into the Long Island Business News “Top 40 under 40” for his service to underserved communities. He was also honored as the Young Professional of the Year at the Business Innovators and Game-Changers Awards Gala.
